On July 3, 2025, Hubei Tianjiao held a grand kick-off ceremony for its Lean Production Management Project in the multi-function hall. In attendance were Bai Penglin, Group Production General Manager; Li Wenbiao, Hubei Tianjiao Production General Manager; the consulting team from Tianjin Qingzhi Enterprise Management; as well as department heads, supervisors, and key production line staff representatives. Together, they launched the company’s journey toward lean transformation.
Today’s hygiene products market has shifted from a focus on scale to efficiency, making lean management essential for business survival. While Hubei Tianjiao has maintained steady growth, it faces challenges like production inefficiencies and rising cost pressures—making lean production a critical solution to break through these bottlenecks.
To drive the project forward, the company has selected production lines 31# and 48# in Factory 1, and line 2# in Factory 2 as pilot benchmarks for lean practices. It has also brought on board Mr. Li Zhen from Tianjin Qingzhi as the project consultant, and established dedicated teams: a Promotion Group (led by Yuan Ronghua), Finished Products Group (Zhuang Yangxin), Materials Group (Chen Ronghui), Quality Group (Gan Jianguo), and Equipment Group (Liu Min)—ensuring seamless collaboration across all processes.
The Tianjin Qingzhi team has outlined a three-phase approach: Diagnosis, Optimization, and Solidification. First, they will identify production bottlenecks and equipment issues on the workshop floor. Next, they will use ERP tools to enable visual management of materials and equipment, while developing standardized operating procedures. Finally, they will build systems for continuous improvement and skill development, leveraging monthly proposals, skill certifications, and regular review mechanisms (daily checks, weekly optimizations, monthly evaluations) to boost equipment performance and employee expertise. The consultants emphasized integrating tools like 6S, TPM, and SOP to drive production upgrades through problem-solving.
Mr. Li Zhen highlighted the importance of a problem-oriented approach, urging the integration of 6S, TPM, and SOP tools to upgrade the production system. Bai Penglin noted that lean production centers on eliminating waste and optimizing processes, stressing that all employees must adapt their mindsets to turn workforce and equipment strengths into core competitive advantages. Li Wenbiao added that the project aims to establish Hubei Tianjiao as a "lean manufacturing" benchmark in Central China’s hygiene products market, with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
All staff took an oath to embrace lean principles and signed a commitment wall to affirm their dedication, marking a key step for Hubei Tianjiao toward more efficient, high-performance operations.
